We love this swim school. All three of my kids take swim lessons here and we have been here for almost three years. Super friendly, communicative and very high quality swim instruction. They are flexible when needed, and all of the instructors we have had are top notch. All the managers (shout out to Miss Brandi) are excellent. Highly recommend.

We always have the best experience at Michael Phelbs, especially with our coach Hudson. He is wonderful with the kids and makes every lesson enjoyable and productive. A special thank you to Brandi as well, as she is consistently kind, friendly, and always goes out of her way to help families. Her interactions with every child are incredibly warm and patient, and I’ve noticed this on multiple occasions. I truly appreciate the level of care and attention here. I haven’t experienced this kind of environment at any other center my kids happened to attend. Exceptional environment.

If you have a child with a disability, beware! Many of the staff, especially the higher-level trained males, do not know how to work with kids with ASD. They lack patience and professionalism. My two daughters have been going there for years with great success but my one daughter is ASD Level 2/3 (overcame her non-verbal diagnosis years ago). All I can say is thank God my other neurotypical daughter was also in the session to corroborate enough of the story (you can’t really hear much from the viewing area) for my wife and I to determine that the staff acted totally inappropriately with my neurodivergent daughter and she is too traumatized to return. Because of their pay one month ahead policy, we will be forfeiting May for both my daughters and that’s OK because we will NEVER be back after what transpired today. Our child was sobbing and is begging us never to take her back. Again, luckily my other daughter was also in the session to give us just enough info. Parents - be warned, you can’t hear everything that’s being said through that glass viewing-waiting room. If your kid has a disability, consider requesting to be allowed to sit in the pool area.

My kids have both been enrolled at MPS since they were infants. As babies, they learned so many skills to be comfortable in the water. By 3 years old, they were swimming underwater independently and learning how to do free style and back stroke. People have always commented on how well my kids do in the pool and around water. Knowing my kids are safe in the water and could get themselves to the side and climb out the pool if they fell in took a huge weight off of my chest. They love coming here, love their teachers, and are sad when class is over.

This review is specifically for Michael Phelps Swim Gym and Play on Camp Rd. in Hamburg NY. I'm so grateful for a FUN place to take my toddlers in the southtowns! This business is amazing! I met the owner she is so personable and friendly, as well as the manager! I feel at home going there. I wish we would've had our sons birthday there (definitely next time though). Such good prices and literally everything you can imagine for the kids!! I've watched this place blossom since summer and I cannot wait until the pool is ready and swimming lessons become available! 5/5, 10/10 or 100 stars for the Hamburg location of MPSG&P!!
